Rasmussen and Rolff met at Denmarks Designschool (the former Kunsthåndværkerskolen) studying furniture design - a theoretical extension for the two skilled cabinetmakers.

After working at various studios and architect offices they started their own design studio in 1978 in the centre of Copenhagen.

Through the years they have designed furniture for the commercial as well as the residential market through famous Danish furniture manufactures.

Rasmussen and Rolff have constantly participated in competitions and have won several awards and international recognition.

And finally, the two furniture designers have participated in SE, the Danish cabinetmakers yearly exhibition, which is a centre for experiments and debate in the furniture design world. In other words, they are taking part in the well known Danish furniture design tradition at its highest level.
